Hey guys, The Bloodhound here. Well we're getting ready to start a wild summer with CZW between Philadelphia & Delaware. And it all starts this Saturday in Philly. Yep. Two shows a month for the next three months including some real doozies for you blood marks out there in Delaware. But more about those in the coming weeks. So let's begin, shall we??

First off a moment of silence for Freddie Blassie. many of you younger readers remember him as Classy Freddie Blassie, one of the greatest heel managers ever. But those of you around The Bloodhound's age or older probably remember Freddie in the ring. They called him The Vampire & the story was that he filed his teeth the better to bite chunks out of his opponenet's foreheads. To this day, I I still remember from my youth blassie biting into somone's forehead, the blood beginning to flow and a big black X appearing on the screen to censor the bloodshed so as not to disturb the pure unadulterated minds of small children in the viewing audince. So we did the next best thing. We bought the wrestling magazines & there in all its pure glory was Blassie chowing down on some poor guy's forehead while the fellow was wearing thet familiar crimson mask. Yes folks. Blassie could truly be called one of the first ultraviolent wrestlers. We all should pay him our respects. As good with a mic as he was with those filed teeth, Blassie was always good for a great interview or working the crowd to a frenzy. To be called a "Pencil Neck Geek" by Blassie was an honor. I'm sure I speak for those wrestling fans of my generation when I say we'll miss him. That big wrestling card in heaven just added another great star.

Next, a follow up. Gino Moore has decided to run as the NWS. Glad to hear it. Gino should spend his money concentrating on getting top talent for his shows not fighting for the NWA name. After all the name isn't what's going to put asses in the seats to use the words of an independent promoter we all knew and loved. The quality of the shows is what will bring them back. get yourself some good names on the show and a decent array of mid-card talent and you'll build that fan base and keep them coming back. I wish Mr. Moore the best of luck with his newly named promotion. Bring in the talent & perhaps The Bloodhound will stop in for a show or two.

Next up: CZW. This Saturday, the summer truly begins as the Steel Cage returns to CZW. Gage, Messiah & Hatred in a steel cage for the CZW World title. Let's put a half starved lion, tiger & a bear all in the same cage and toss in one piece of red meat. The results will probably be about the same. It's not going to be pretty folks. There won't be a lot of technical stuff here. This will be a last man standing affair. Somebody better make sure the EMTs have a packed medical kit for this one because someone just might be leaving that cage on a stretcher. This match alone should be worth the price of admission. And then there is the undercard.

Ric Blade vs Ruckus. Air Blade versus the high flyer from the hood. Blade has looked better each match out lately but is he ready for Ruckus. It's easy to be deceived by Ruckus. A man his size shouldn't move with the speed & agility that he does. But he DOES. Oh yes, he DOES. this could very well be one of Blade's toughest challengers. Who will win? Tough call but one thing is sure. The fans will be winners when these two meet.

How about Sonjay versus Deranged? These two lightweights move with such speed & agility that if you take your eyes off them for a minute, you'll find yourself saying what the hell just happened. In the blink of an eye, these two can shoot through a series of moves tha will simply amaze you. Persistent, quick and tough as nails, it's no mystery why Sonjay has become a fan favorite at CZW. And Deranged has continued to impress in all his appearance here thus far. This should be a phenominal match.

The return to CZW of The Briscoes. Glad to see the return of a great family to CZW. From the boys in the ring to Mom & Dad in the stands, this is an all around class act. From the day they made their debut in a CZW ring, Jay & Mark have been wowing the crowd. The time they were away left a big hole in the CZW Tag Team ranks. But now their back. And how better to prove that they are back with a vengence then to go after The Backseat Boys. Two of the best precision Tag Teams in CZW going head to head. Each man working with his partner like clockwork. This is no hastily assembled tag team. This is true tag team wrestling as an art. This is a case where these men on both sides can be called a team. I look forward to this being one of the best wrestling matches of the night.

Right up there with it in terms of wrestling will be B-Boy against Jimmy Rave. No hardcore brawling here. This will be technical skills alll the way. This match should rank up there with any of the matches from Best of The Best. Two more technicians in the ring. Am I detecting a pattern here?

And speaking of technicians, how about the return to CZW of Reckless Youth? For those who have seen reckless work, I need say no more for you to begin celebrating. for those who haven't seen reckless work before, well sit down son and let him show you how it's done. One of the superstars of the Independent scene for years, reckless is capable of delivering a match that will have you on your feet standing and cheering. His technical skills are next to none and it is no wonder that at one time he was under a developmental contract with Vince McMahon. Thank god for us all that he remains here in the Independents and not a part of the diluted down crap that is being peddled to the unaware mainstream fan as wrestling by the McMahon family. Reckless, as always, I consider it a gift to watch you & others of your ilk in action.

Damn that's a lot of technical matches I just mentioned. Isn't this CZW? Where are the UltraViolent matches? There has to be more than just the main event right? Well of course CZW couldn't let a card pass with out at least one other violent match. So joining the Cage Match as part of the "senseless pain & violence portion of the program" as a friend puts it, will be Zandig against Rebel in a Strap Match. Well we all know Rebel and zandig have been around for quite a while. They both have a tough leather like skin. The question now becomes which is stronger: their leather like skin or the real leater of the strap. Rebel is one tough SOB but I think my vote here has to go with Zandig. Having toured Japan and going through most every kind of extrme Deathmatch imaginable, I think his pain threshold might be just a little bit higher than Rebel's. But one never knows what part Rebel's army will play in this affair. One thing is for sure. Somebody is going to take a whipping.

And of course, we have to mention GQ & Chris Cash. We all know that somewhere during the course of their match, we'll see the sick bump of the evening. I must admit that Cash is not one of my favorites but he is beginning to grow on me. Hopefully, he won't kill himself in one of these sick spots before I get to like him. I'll give GQ this. He takes a sick bump well. Enough said.

In the weeks to come The Bloodhound will be expanding his coverage as I've been asked by Zandig to also begin writing for czwwrestling.com Look for my pieces on the Extreme Eight & Deathmatch card there soon. And as always drop in here to see what I've been up to in the weird & wild world of Independent wrestling. For now this is The Bloodhound saying "Keep on Howlin' & Prowlin' ". See you at the matches.
